TMJ & Mouth Work

TMJ syndrome is not isolated; it’s a facet of the entire individual, necessitating comprehensive evaluation and treatment. Stressors affecting TMJ can stem from physical, physiological, psycho-emotional, or environmental sources.

TMJ & Mouth Work

If you are already struggling with:

  • previous invasive dental work
  • teeth grinding or clenching
  • pain from braces, Invisalign
  • clicking jaw
  • dental-associated neck discomfort or headaches

CST led mouth work can help to alleviate these symptoms.  Wearing a medical-grade glove, using very delicate techniques and extremely gentle pressure connecting with the teeth, the muscles, and the bones in the cranium, many long-held restrictions can be released giving a profound sense of release and well-being.

CST is adept at addressing increased muscle tension in soft tissue in the face, neck and head. This directly influences the positioning of the TMJ and can also help target the misalignment of teeth when the jaw is closed.

Sara D.

I originally sought Mairead’s help for a persistent sacral-pelvic pain which I have had treated in various complimentary disciplines over the last 8 years. Even after the first treatment there was a noted improvement and after 4 treatments I am pain free.  She has worked on jaw and oral-pallet tension, which again is improved. Plus I am able to self-administer, with her coaching, to ease the tension I create in my mouth and mandible between her visits. This, in turn, seems to have helped to ease sinus pressure, which has been a constant and life-long issue; so on the whole I feel both more comfortable and more robust than ever. Mairead has a gentle, professional manner which makes it easy to relax in our sessions despite the rather unusual and intrusive mouth-work practises.I would recommend Mairead without hesitation where physical and/or emotional support is beneficial
